Attractions at Mu Koh Phetra National Park

           Koh Phetra(Phetra Island)          
               Koh Phetra is the largest island in Mu Koh Phetra.Resembles barque,the island is a reef limestone escarpment.On this island is hardly  plain.But there are high mountains and cliffs on all sides.There is the long white sandy beaches along the east side of the island.By the island stretches from north to south.Can swim, no accommodation, by the beach has beautiful corals.Ideal for snorkeling activity.The beach is wide and a lot of relax corner.The charm of Koh Phetra is the beautiful mountains and cliffs that loomed in the middle of the green waters of the Andaman Sea.Although the name of the island is being used as the name of the national park. However, until now very few people have the opportunity to enter the island.  Because in the past for ten years. This area is the swiftlet nest 's concession area. Which concession owner is extremely tenacious. Just started a promotional tour for the control limited number of visitors.For this reason, Koh Phetra is the real "Unseen" of Thailand.Which if looking from Koh Lao Liang can be seen Koh Phetra as beautiful scenery markedly rare.                Koh Lao Liang Nong
               Koh Lao Liang Nong is a small island in the Andaman Sea.The characteristics is a limestone mountain. There are surrounding cliffs. Which is ideal for sport climbing.There is pure white sand and crystal clear water. Including a beautiful coral reef and complete stretches towards the east.Ideal for snorkelling.On the island also provides activities for you to enjoy with your friends such as kayaking around Koh Lao Liang, through the sea tunnel  when low tide, explore the island by walking paths, diving both Skin and Scuba, rock climbing and abseiling with standard equipment, Fishing guard evening,see Hairy leg mountain crab in early night,squid fishing at night and do not miss the nest caves which will visible at low tide only.

               Accommodations here is different creatively. Because the park is not allowed to have permanent buildings on the island. Therefore used as a tent.But a tent with modern amenities with a soft bed, lamp, desk, fan, plug. And a shared bathroom.

                Koh Lao Liang Phea               
               Koh Lao Liang Phea located on the south side of Koh Lao Liang Nong.Spaced about 300 meters.Koh Lao Liang Phea is a very beautiful island with a white sandy beach just 5 minutes from Lao Liang Nong. You will find a white sandy beach. Fish species diversity and beautiful. Corals are abundant.Koh Lao Liang Phea will have fishermen living temporarily when out to the sea for catch fish and crab. And a viewpoint overlooking Koh Lao Liang Phea majestically set synonymous with Koh Lao Liang Nong.
               Between Koh Lao Liang Phea and Koh Lao Liang Nong will be the raceway.Which at the head of Koh Lao Liang  is the address of the soft seven colors corals.Which by their very nature. Soft corals depends in deep water and rapids.But the nature of here will be more special than the others. That the soft corals will live at a depth of no more.When combined with the rhythm of water up-down the right. Visitors will have the opportunity to see these soft seven colors corals.                Trip to Koh Lao Liang              
               Koh Lao Liang is away from the port of Long Beach about 22 miles takes about 35 minutes by speed boat and boat tour takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.             
               Koh Takiang (Lantern Island)              
               Koh Takiang is a small island in Mu Koh Phetra. It is a dark green forest, with so much natural beauty.The front of island is long white beach about 100 meters  facing Koh Lao Liang and can see it.There are beautiful hard corals was extensive in front of beach which is a refuge for various  fish species.The sea in this area is clear, because the island away from the shore than the other islands. Combined with lot of beautiful fishes. Makes ​​Koh Takiang is the best for Snorkeling in Trang Sea.
                Koh Takiang located far from Koh Lao Liang Nong, about 4 km to the west. Take about 15-20 minutes by boat tour. On the island does not have any facilities. Mostly tour program jointly with Koh Lao Liang and Koh Phetra. By back to the stay at Trang or Koh Lao Liang.

               Koh Tabai
               The last island in Trang province, in Mu Koh Phetra. The island lies the southern end close to province of Satun. Away from Koh Lao Liang about 30 minutes by Speed boat. Present can not visit it.

Attractions in Palian District,Trang

               Seashore of Palian District have the beauty  with the characteristics coast of the Andaman Sea of the Indian Ocean generally.

               Travel ; Use the route of Trang - Palian. (Highway 404) go 2 kilometers then turn right and follow the sign indicating about 22 kilometer will have the several tourist destinations to visit such as Mu Koh Phetra National Park , Koh Sukorn, etc.

               Mu Koh Phetra National Park (Phetra Islands National Park)

                A National Park situated on the Strait of Malacca,Andaman Sea, Indian Ocean. Declared a national park on December 31, 2527(1984) south of the park, away from the border of Thailand - Malaysia 30 kilometers.

            Topography

              Most of the islands are steep limestone. There are little flat in the area of valley and the beach.Include more than 22 islands in the Andaman Sea. Lined scattered since La Ngu District,Thung Wa District,Satun Province at it until it stretch to Palian District,Trang Province.Covers an area of coastal and small islands. There are the importance islands sorted from north to south. Such as Koh Lao Liang Nua (North Lao Liang Island),Koh Lao Liang Tai(South Lao Liang Island),Koh Beng(Beng Island),Koh Tak Bai(Tak Bai Island),Koh Kluey (Banana Island),Koh Tung Ku(Tung Ku Island),Koh Lama(Lama Island),Koh Bu Lon Khee Nok(Bu Lon Khee Nok Island),Koh Bu Lon Yai(Bu Lon Yai Island),Koh Bu Lon Mai Phai(Bu Lon Mai Phai Island),Koh Khao Yai(Khao Yai Island),Koh Lidee(Lidee Island). It has a total area of approximately 494.38 square  kilometers or 308,987 rais. As the water about 94.7 percent of the total area. Some areas barred of the park, such as Bo Jed Look Villages. and some areas, Government by the Navy for permission to use the area.

               Climate

              Mu Koh Phetra National Park located in the tropics.Characteristics similar weather all year round.The differences between the seasons are not pronounced.There is long rainy season that to be said the rain scattered throughout the year.But the rain really hard. Will go starting from May to October.The end of November to March, rainfall will decrease.For the summer will appear briefly in March to April. Which  the change periodic of monsoon season. From the northeast monsoon is the southwest monsoon.Section of the change the southwest monsoon into the northeast monsoon in October made  the climate of the region varies somewhat, but not obvious.

               Vegetation and wildlife

               Characteristics of naturally plant contains;

               Rainforest

               Which The general characteristics are the dense jungle. Both the large trees and ground flora.Found scattered throughout various islands. There are the major species. Include Hopea ferrea Laness(Takian Hin),Dipterocarpus alatus Roxb.(Yang),Diospyros toposia Ham.(Saodam),Cananga(Tabak),Mangifera caloneura Kurz(Mamaung Paa),Shorea white Meranti(Phayom),Jacaranda(Sritrang,Green ebony),Queen's flower(Inthanin,Queen’s crape myrtle,Pride of India),Tummy-wood(Kradon),Snowy Orchid Tree(Galaong),etc. And ground flora include Rattan(Wai),Fern,Moss,Ginger,Galange,Bamboo,etc.

                Beach Forest

               There are the beach appear only  on the plains along the gulf of the island. Which there is not a wide. The forest is generally sparse forest.Plants were found include Sheoak(Ironwood, Bull-oak and Beefwood),Alexandrian Laurel(Indian Laurel,Beautiful - leaf, Borneo mahogany),Sea Hibiscus(Beach Hibiscus,Coastal Hibiscus),Seaside Mahoe(Indian Tulip Tree, Pacific Rosewood),Sea almond(Tropical almond,Bengal almond,Indian almond,Beach almond),Cashew Nut Tree,Fish Poison Tree(Putat,Sea Poison Tree),etc.And ground flora were Screw Pine.

               Found in clay,seaside area and the mouth of the canal.Major plants including Rhizophora mucronata(Red Mangrove,Big leaves Mangrove),Rhizophora apiculata(Small leaves Mangrove),Tagal Mangrove,Xylocarpus granatum(Cannonball Mangrove),Bruguiera parviflora,Bruguiera cylindrica,etc.

                Mu Koh Phetra National Park (Phetra Islands National Park) is the whole point of beauty that nature has created. There are forests, mountains, wildlife and colorful coral.Location of the park office is a natural bay known as the "Aow Noon"(Noon Bay).
