                 Klong Taob Beach_phixrKlong Toab is a small beach next to Klong Khong with a feature of a golden sandy beach.Some part are rocky.Usually to park the fisherman's boat.And a food source of the villagers who will come to feed the snails and crabs laid on the rocks and cooking for dinner.Distinguished by cottage camp of the villagers to made up own very simple and beautifully with unusual viewpoint.Klong Toab Beach is quite wide with good shade and good for swimming in some areas.  It is the last beach on the main road before turning left along the main road. Next to Klong Toab Beach, the road will be smaller along the beach on the west side.
               Klong Nin Beach Turn right off the paved road on the way to the National Park for Klong Nin Beach, a few kilometres stretch of white sands with emerald green-waters. Set against a back-drop of lush green mountain covered in tropical rain forest, the beach offers shady spots of leafy pine, cocoKlong Nin Beachnut and palm trees.
                 Klong Nin is a small-sized beach with local small tree called "Lam Jieak" different from other beach. Sand beach with some small rocked, suite for swimming, but some parts in the sea are quite steeper,not so crowded.Klong Nin Beach was featured on the clear of the sea.                   Klong Hin Beach Is a small calm shore with rocky and sandy beach.It has less accommodation and  entertainment than the northern beaches.Because beach area is small and narrow.                    Aow Nui Beach
Aow Nui Beach Is next to Bakantieng Beach, the road changes to a dirt road in 5 km length leading to Mu Koh Lanta National Park. It is difficult to come around this area and you will need a good quality four wheel drive vehicle or a bike if you’re a really good rider. From this part onwards there are basically bungalows and some middle-range establishments on offer. To get to Ao Nui Beach, you have to climb down the hill and do some jungle trekking again, but the hill is closer to the beach than the previous Nui Beach. This beach is a small bay—some people call it Nui Bay for that matter—charming soft golden sand, calm emerald green water. If natural beauty is what you’re looking for, it’s worth stopping by.
                  Aow Nui Beach is the length of beach about 1 kilometer around the beach with rocks on both sides.Travelers are available in a private sunbathing area.Because there is no hotels on this beach,not always crowded with people on them. Koh Lanta National Marine Park(Laem Tanoad) Situated at the southern tip of the island at Laem Tanoad, at the end of a spectacular coastal drive isThe National Mariner Parke.The road here from Klong Hin Beach narrows and has some quite sudden dips and rises, with occasional sharp curves.
                    There are two beaches in Koh Lanta's National Park - Had Hin Ngam (a beautiful stone beach) and Tanoad or Palm Beach . The surrounding area is rich and diverse with amazing tropical nature, trekking and walking trail-ways and fantastic opportunities for bird and wild life watching.

Koh Lanta


              Mu Koh Lanta Koh Lanta(Lanta Island) is a district of Krabi Province, a part of Mu Koh Lanta Marine National Park.Koh Lanta located in the Andaman Sea. Between Krabi Town and Koh Phi Phi.About 70 kilometres from Krabi Town,consisting of two major islands, the larger and more populated Koh Lanta Yai and the smaller Koh Lanta Noi.              Koh Lanta Yai           Koh Lanta Noi was the former settlement of the Koh Lanta community, where a district office, school, as well as, traditional lifestyle, and the ancient houses are still currently available.
              Koh Lan Ta Yai is 6km wide and over 30km long,featuring nine golden sand beaches and a diverse terrain, including mangroves, waterfalls, and forested hills.A paved road runs from the north to the south of the island, parallel to the coast, and provides access to the headquarters of the Mu Koh Lanta National Park and the lighthouse on the southern tip.
              The main tourist office on Koh Lanta is located at Baan Saladan, where visitors arriving via car-ferry or boat first arrive. Baan Saladan has the highest concentration of banks, dive shops, markets, medical clinics, and motorbike rental services. Koh Lanta’s post office is located in the east coast of Koh Lanta, in Baan Koh Lanta (Lanta Old Town), which serves as the islands capital.
                The west coast of Koh Lanta features nine beaches along its 25 km shore, most which are great for swimming and ideal for long, romantic walks and sunset views. It’s a great place for a family vacation or a romantic escape.

                  Klong Dao Beach The most popular beach in Koh Lanta.This beach boasts a spectacular 3 kilometres stretch of white sands and shallow clear waters.Klong DaoKlong Dao Beach Beach is a children-friendly beach thanks to its shallow water, low tides and spotless sand and is perfect for swimming. When the sea level is lower, the stretch of the beach widens and becomes great for beach side sports such as volleyball-it also forms a great natural morning running track.During the peak season, it never gets crowded, and a short walk will find you a patch without neighbors. The Southern end of the beach has some rocks in the water, and a picturesque fleet of local longtail fishing boats use the natural rock harbor as a base.
                    Klong Dao Beach offers a wide selection of both up-market and small family-owned resorts with something for all budgets. Twenty of the largest and more up-market resorts, many with air-conditioned bungalows, swimming pools and hot water are dotted along this beach, interspersed with charming, inexpensive Thai-style bungalows.

                   Long Beach 1
Phra Ae Beach Just south of Klong Dao(well-known as Long Beach) and equally as popular.It is a stunning crescent of sand some 4 kilometres long. The beach is steeper and the water not as sheltered as at Klong Dao Beach which makes for fantastic, safe swimming for adults.
                    The shoreline is rich with tropical trees, including coconut and pine, providing ample leafy shade for relaxing under. The beach is straight and long, with many locals using it for jogging during sunset hours.
                    The resorts here are spread out over a greater distance, mainly clustered at both the north end and south ends. Most visitors find that even in peak season Long Beach can feel pretty deserted. Accommodation here is generally cheaper than on Klong Dao Beach, with a mixture of smaller and family-run resorts.
                    The southern end of Phra Ae Beach has some snorkeling areas off shore and the entire beach contains a wealth of sea shells and natural aquatic life.

Attractions Lanta District,Krabi

               Mu Koh Lanta National Park(Lanta Islands National Park) Located in Koh Lanta District,Krabi Province.Island comprise 25 islands can be divided into 4 groups are Koh Rok Group,Koh Ha Group,Koh Ngai Group and Koh Lanta Group.

             Koh Rok Group
Include Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai which Koh Rok Nai has general terrain is rocky and steep rocks eroded for a long time in the north. On the west facing cliffs stretch of the front of the island length about 2.4 kilometers,the highest peak 208 meters above sea level. Koh Rok Nok is an island of similar size Koh Rok Nai.The highest Mu Koh Hapeak 156 meters high above sea level.
               Koh Ha Group(Koh Tu Kon Lima) and Koh Hin Dang  Koh Ha  Group Include five small islands.The islands are slightly flat  above the peaks of the island with an area of large two islands.And the other three islands that look like rocks emerged the water.There are no flat areas.
             Koh Ngai Koh Ngai Group Include Koh Ngai and Koh Ma.The front island of East of Koh Ngai,Include long sandy stretches.South look as bay.On the north west is a steep hill. Peak height 198 meters above sea level.For Koh Ma look like a rock emerged the water.There are no flat areas.The geological conditions of the island as a whole looks like Koh Rok Group.
          Mu Koh Lanta   
Koh Lanta Group Include Large and small island number of 16 islands such as Koh Lanta Yai,Koh Lanta Noi,Koh Talabeng,Koh Mai Ngam etc.Over all geographical feature of Koh Lanta Yai is the complexity of mountains and rather deep slope. The plain area would be found only in a beach area in the southern part. Most of area here is more than 35 percent slope, except only the middle part of island where a slope is more than 50 percent. The height of this are is range from 100 meters above sea level to a heigth of 488 meters at the peak of mountain.For the other islands have as steep rock. None of the plains.
                   
Climate
         
Annual average temperature 28°Celsius.In March,the highest average temperature is 34°Celsius.The minimum average temperature is 24°Celsius in December.
               Most rainfall is in September which is about 391.4 milimeters and the lowest in January which is about 6.5 milimeters. Number of days of the highest raining is in September which is about 21.6 days and the lowest is in February, about 1.6 days.

                      
Flora and Fauna                
                 There are a lot of fertile forest resources and varieties of vetgetation which could be classified as follows :
               Mu Koh Lanta National Park 1   Rainforest covers 19.42 square meters of Lanta Yai island, along the Lanta mountain which covers most of area of the national park. Upper level trees and middle level trees at average height about 15-25 meters are found in this forest. The important plants are L. siamica, Hopea ferrea Heim.,etc. And also the palm tree and cane wood species are the low level trees here, the important species are Fan palm, Calamus erectus Roxb., Calamus caesius Bl., Calamus peregrinus Furt.,etc.
                 Mangrove Forest could be found in Mai Ngam island, South Mai NgamMu Koh Lanta National Park island and Ngu island. These islands are not big and most of area is covered with the mangrove forest. Mangrove trees are tall at the same height with averange about 5 meters. Plants could be found here are Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata
                 Beach Forest covers the small area between connecting area of beach and rainforest of Ngai island. The important plants are Bengal Almond, Derris indica, beach moring glory, etc.
                      Wild Animals                
                  Able to classified into 6 groups as shown below.
                 Mammal Animals consists of 20 families 30 genuses and 38 species which 2 species had gone from Lanta island. They are wild deers and tigers, and the other species is the sea cow which is the conserved animal. The other two species that being gone are the common barking deer and fishing cat. The rarely finding animal on this island is the the marshall big ear crow bat .
                 Birds on these islands are totally 58 families, 130 genuses and 185 species. Most easy find in this Mu Koh Lanta National Park 2 national park are Brahminy Kite, Birdled Tern, Emerald Dove , etc while the most difficult find are Orange-Breasted Trogon, Siberian Thrush, and Little Spiderhunter, etc.
                 Reptiles, mostly are Water Monitor, Reticulated Python and Cobra , etc.
                 Amphibians could be found two species, the first one living in canal is Giant Mountain Frog, Ornate Froglet and the second one living in building and ponds. Others amphibians in forest are Polypedates leucomystax (Gravenhorst)-1829 and Small Toads and the difficult find species is the Dorria frog.
                 Sea and Fresh Water Fishes which could be found in fresh water ponds of the islands, fresh waterMu Koh Lanta National Park 3 fishes that you can find here such as Blue danio. While the sea fishes would be found along the coral reef, rock beach and fresh water canals such as Lizard fish and Porcupine fish, etc.
                 Animals in the Coral Reef are Staghorn coral, Fungia fungites, Anemone coral, Starflower coral, etc.

Pa Phru or Peat swamp forest of the canal of Tha Pom features a number of water sources, which originate from the Chong Phra Kaeo pool. Tha Pom is called Khlong Song Nam by the locals, which in Thai literally means "two water canal", because of its special feature location where crystal clear freshwater, which the pool’s floor and the roots of Lumphi palm (Eleiodoxa conferta) are virtually visible, meets seawater from the mangrove forest. Tha Pom features a natural trail made of lath. Wooden chairs are located at certain points for nature lovers to conveniently admire the view of the place.

Attractions around Railay Beach

                Aow Pranang 4 Aow Pranang Aow Pranang or Aow Tham Phra Nang(Aow Pranang Cave) is not Aow Nang.The bay that named similar but opposite to each other.
